Charming local Italian restaurant. A local friend is a regular here and was greeted by the table captain. We got a nice table in the wine room. They had a good set of wine options. Portions were good sized and the chicken piccata was exactly what I expected.

We spent several days in Bakersfield and loved it. We wanted to have one last meal there so this time we went with Italian at Uricchio's Trattoria. We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of the

The food and wine was beyond excellent, service was great and nice and quite in the back room. Main room can get kinda noisy and smokey with the kitchen open to the dining room but they offer 2 back rooms for options. Great little place for date night. We'll be back

My husband and I decided to go here for our date night as neither of us had ever been, and we had both heard a lot about it. We made a reservation, but it was early on a Friday and not really necessary. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good. The place needs updated and and honestly, it was way too hot in there for a summer evening.

My second visit and so close to 5 stars. I'm very picky about my Italian food experience. Food One of the few restaurants I have gone to that has manicotti that is real manicotti none of the crepe "really thin pancake" garbage. The meat sauce was delicious. Ordered a meatball and it was ok I had expected a little more flavor but would totally order it again. Enough to share for two of you order an appetizer. The calamari was fabulous as well, cooked perfect! Lobster ravioli was good. Not something I would typically order but wanted to taste something different. Great sauce The espresso martini was meh, I was ok they didn't have real Expresso but you would expect an Italian restaurant to have Expresso. Atmosphere First of you want to be comfortable eating ask to be seated in the wine room those chairs look comfy. I was there on a Thursday when they opened so it wasn't crowded. It was quite and pleasant. Service I arrived 50 minutes before my reservation and requested if I could move it up 30 minutes or so and they were able to accommodate. Had a cocktail in the bar. Every staff member was friendly, pleasant and courteous. Food was timed well. If I had to say anything negative is
